Jaguar, The New Leaper

Gaydon, 2024

Maker’s Mark is the reinvention of the iconic Jaguar Leaper. While retaining the heritage form, I gave more aggression to the pounce of the Leaper through extending the reach of its tail and legs.  Looking towards the future, the Leaper is made visible by its absence in our Strikethrough motif. Inspired by hallmarks, the engraving is applied to solid brass, serving as a symbol of authenticity, quality, and tradition. As our Fingerprint of Provenance, it connects the present with the past, preserving the legacy and craftsmanship of Jaguar as a brand.

Inspired by Jewellery and Metal Hallmarking, a redesign of the iconic Jaguar Leaper is a physical asset serving as a fingerprint of provenance. On Type 00, it is applied to solid brass areas of the vehicle. The Design is intended to be visually simplistic but also striking, with a squared bite, and graphic linearity. This link to Jaguar’s heritage was well received during the launch of Type 00.
